A Parody of Hope - to Yeats

Attentive upon the widening gyre
The falconer lays no claim upon the falcon
Things fall apart as they do,
yet the centre remains calm
Mere anarchy may be loosened upon the world
But if the new born babe remains unwise
To the best and the worst
Without one the other cannot arise

Surely the revelation lies in the emptiness
The absence of any presence
There is no second coming where there is no one
For a man may walk in a lion's body
But must return to dust and be light
A light that heeds not one nor the other
The mutant only created by mind

No darkness may fall where light is intrinsic
There is no birth where greed desists
And at the hour where the beast meets the void

He is conquered by the absence
